Father Wolf was undeterred by the tumultuous sound of the retreating birds. He reached the top of the staircase at a pace, She Wolf tentatively ascending behind him, and he boldly went through the entrance. Suddenly, the Glass House shattered into a million shards, Father Wolf quickly sheltering She Wolf from any danger. As the dust settled, Father Wolf reared his head and looked about.
The Glass House and the Secrets had gone, but left behind, and looking as fragile and beautiful as anything could, was an egg. Father Wolf looked sadly upon the lonely, unprotected egg. Deciding with a look what to do, both Father Wolf and She Wolf took position on either side of the egg, curling their bodies around it in an attempt to protect it from the bitter night.
